About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. We provide customers with leading-edge support from prototype to production. This role operates under the direct supervision of the Purchasing Manager, focusing on processing and following up on Out-Process subcontract orders. The position requires close collaboration with suppliers, technical staff, and program management.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate computer and software skills, including Excel and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Contract Manufacturing industries preferred
- Experience utilizing an ERP system, Epicor Vantage or SAP preferred
Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders for Out-Process subcontractors using the information provided on job travelers and instructions by Program Managers
- Confirm purchase orders and delivery dates
- Work with Receiving, Quality, Engineering and Accounting to resolve discrepancies and issues
- Maintain follow-up responsibility with suppliers to ensure commitment dates are held
- Provide support to team members as needed and generate purchasing reports when required
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Successfully manage frequently changing priorities
