Requirements

  • Must be able to speak and understand English as a primary language.
  • Upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude required.
  • Texas Food Handler Certification.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Professional demeanor is always required.
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar setting/role is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing table maintenance, maintaining the flow of service, and assisting servers in the dining room.
  • Clearing food and utensils from tables, resetting tables, and providing water service.
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction.
  • Assisting the kitchen in expediting the service process.
  • Setting and resetting table settings according to specifications in HHG Training Manual and presentation standards.
  • Ensuring all utensils are clean and neatly set.
  • Properly cleaning and clearing tables after guests have completed their meal.
  • Communicating with kitchen staff to expedite the service process.
  • Assisting servers with water refills and/or providing other support to enhance the guest experience.
  • Ensuring that public restrooms are clean and functional.
  • Maintaining and strictly abiding by state sanitation/health regulations and HHG requirements.
  • Maintaining proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and restaurant requirements.
  • Instructing staff in the correct usage and care of all machinery in the kitchen operation, stressing safety.
  • Adhering to all sanitation and safety policies.
  • Being available for any Restaurant mandatory meeting or training.
  • Ensuring smooth communication with all direct reports and other Restaurants Managers/supervisors.
  • Being neatly dressed and groomed, and always behaving and speaking according to HHG standards of excellence.
  • Treating all associates with respect and consideration, regardless of their position or tasks.
