Busser (P/T)
About The Position
The Busser supports the dining room team by maintaining clean, properly set tables and helping ensure smooth service so Members can enjoy an uninterrupted dining experience. The role includes clearing and resetting tables, preparing tables to Club standards, replenishing service items, and keeping dining and service areas clean and organized. The Busser also assists servers, supports private-event and Member-function setups, safely transports dishware, and follows Club sanitation and safety procedures. Because operational demands fluctuate, the employee may perform a variety of duties and help others as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain Food Handler certification, or already hold the certification.
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fully flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical activities including grasping, finger dexterity, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk on various surfaces for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Prior bussing, food-running, or dining-room experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables promptly and discreetly between courses and after guests depart.
- Set tables to Club standards with linens, flatware, glassware, and china before and during service.
- Refill water and bread service, and assist servers with delivering non-alcoholic items as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, patio, and service stations throughout each shift.
- Safely transport dishware to the dish pit and assist with sorting and organization.
- Restock service stations with linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments.
- Help others and perform a variety of duties as operational needs arise.
- Assist with room turns and setup for private events and Member functions.
- Communicate promptly with servers and management about table status and readiness.
- Follow Club sanitation and safety procedures.
