About The Position

The Busser helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant to provide guests with a pleasant dining experience. The role includes clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers and kitchen staff, restocking service areas, interacting professionally with guests, and supporting general restaurant cleaning and maintenance. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Clear tables promptly after guests leave, remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils, and transport them to the dishwashing area.
• Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and condiment containers, and reset tables for new guests.
• Assist servers with refilling drinks, delivering food orders, and providing additional items to guests.
• Communicate with servers to ensure tables are prepared for new guests.
• Transport dishes from the kitchen to the dining area and ensure food orders reach the correct tables.
• Keep server and busser stations clean and organized, and restock napkins, utensils, and condiments.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace trash bags as needed.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, respond to requests, and escalate inquiries or concerns to servers or management when necessary.
• Assist with overall restaurant cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors and cleaning windows.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
