About The Position

The Food Runner/Busser plays a vital role in delivering a seamless dining experience by supporting the waitstaff and culinary team. This position is responsible for the rapid and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to member tables and ensuring the dining room remains polished and guest-ready at all times.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with club members and staff.
  • Basic understanding of restaurant etiquette, food safety rules, and the sequence of service.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours) and lift/carry heavy trays weighing up to 25–50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in hospitality or a similar entry-level role is preferred but often not required; training is typically provided.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables and seat positions, using proper tray service.
  • Clear dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils efficiently throughout the meal and between courses.
  • Reset and prepare tables in accordance with club standards, including folding napkins and polishing silverware.
  • Refill water, coffee, and other beverages; provide welcome snacks like bread and butter.
  • Maintain organized service stations and ensure that floors and common areas are clean and free of debris.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events, banquets, and member-guest tournaments.
