Busperson Charter 18 Modern Tavern (Full Time)
About The Position
The Busperson is responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, setting them according to established standards, and helping maintain fast, smooth service. The role includes greeting guests in an assigned station, receiving and fulfilling beverage orders, refilling drinks, checking dishes for accuracy and presentation, and assisting with final dish preparation. The Busperson also transports filled bus tubs to the kitchen dishwashing area, maintains the cleanliness of side stations and work areas, upholds quality and sanitation standards, handles customer complaints, and completes side work as needed.
Requirements
- Open availability.
- Ability to stand and walk for a long period and for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior restaurant industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean tables by removing soiled dishes, silverware, glassware, and refuse, and wipe tabletops and seats.
- Set up tables according to established standards.
- Receive and fulfill beverage orders and refill guest drinks.
- Greet guests seated in the assigned station.
- Remove dishes from tables and place them in a plastic bus tub.
- Transport filled bus tubs to the kitchen dishwashing area.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the side station and all work areas.
- Help ensure the smooth and timely flow of orders from the kitchen to guests.
- Check dishes for accuracy and presentation.
- Assist in final dish preparation.
- Maintain fast service.
- Handle customer complaints.
- Uphold quality and sanitation standards.
- Complete side work as needed.
