Busperson - Scarpetta - The Cosmopolitan
About The Position
As a Busperson at Scarpetta inside The Cosmopolitan, your primary responsibility is to support an exceptional fine dining experience by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service throughout the restaurant. This includes ensuring the dining room, service stations, food pickup areas, beverage stations, and storage areas are fully stocked, impeccably maintained, and prepared for seamless operations. The Busperson works closely with the front-of-house and culinary teams to enhance guest satisfaction, expedite service, and uphold the luxury hospitality standards synonymous with the MGM resorts and Scarpetta brand.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years of age or older
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
Nice To Haves
- 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience (as a Bus or Food Runner) preferred
- Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Work with servers to ensure proper guest service
- Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories, fold napkins properly and ensure ashtrays are clean and available on tables in designated smoking areas
- Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed
- Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles
- Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Server, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently
- Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed
- Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
