About The Position

Bloomingdale’s is seeking an experienced Busperson for its restaurant. The role supports restaurant operations and customer service by maintaining dining areas, assisting servers and customers, and following food division, company, and health department standards. The position offers the opportunity to work with the store’s clientele and be part of the Bloomingdale’s brand. Hourly associates may be eligible for a quarterly bonus incentive if certain criteria are met.

Requirements

No education or experience required.
General knowledge of cleaning procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures.
Ability to work as a team player in a learning environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
Ability to follow safe work practices in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, extended hours, and key event days.

Nice To Haves

Prior restaurant industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow Food Division Best Practices as set out in the Training Manual.
Clear and set tables according to company standards.
Sort china, glassware, and flatware in the dish room.
Organize recycling where applicable.
Perform daily cleaning tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Ensure the dining room is properly set for customer service.
Communicate customer requests or concerns and service-flow issues to servers and the manager on duty.
Follow station-specific duties and responsibilities.
Comply with the dress code and Food Division and Health Department standards.
Assist servers and customers, including running food to customers where appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
