Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
  • Concentrate in Business Travel Sales, including local and national account development, management of consortia programs, ongoing market analysis, and proactive sales efforts.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in writing, to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Handle account details to ensure all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly progress updates.
  • Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Travel to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
  • Represent hotels at trade shows, setting up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching overhead.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff regarding maintenance of accounts.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
