About The Position

This Co-op Program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience at the intersection of business and technology, supporting initiatives that drive digital transformation and operational efficiency. Co-op students will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, contribute to technology-driven solutions, and help translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. The program offers support from diverse, passionate, and talented technology teams, with guidance from experienced professionals and exposure to enterprise systems, tools, and processes that enable innovation. This specific role is for a 4-month co-op, running from September 1st – December 18th, 2026, in the Toronto, Ontario, CAN office. It is a hybrid position, requiring office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights to support business decisions and project planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and follow through on action items in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and/or Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to a team of highly skilled Business Analysts/IT Project Coordinators, dedicated to accelerating the adoption of digital innovation across Manulife.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into clear, structured documentation such as business requirements, user stories, and process flows.
  • Help develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and coordinate meetings to ensure tasks are progressing on time and within scope.
  • Work with datasets to identify trends, generate insights, and create visual reports or dashboards that inform business and technical decisions.
  • Organize and update key project artifacts including meeting notes, action items, risk logs, and process maps using tools like SharePoint.
