Business Systems Analyst
About The Position
The Business Systems Analyst supports enterprise business applications used by a federal government customer for financial, acquisition, and logistics operations. The role connects business needs with system capabilities, helping ensure critical applications evolve alongside mission requirements. The analyst works with stakeholders to understand business challenges, assess solution options, implement new capabilities, and continuously improve systems that support operational efficiency, accountability, auditability, compliance, automation, and mission execution. The position involves analyzing business processes, defining requirements, evaluating system functionality, supporting solution implementation, and helping users adopt new capabilities. The analyst develops expertise in relevant business domains and enterprise systems and contributes to future enhancements and modernization efforts. The role requires working onsite within a secure customer environment.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 5+ years of experience supporting, implementing, or modernizing enterprise IT systems; additional direct relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Experience analyzing business processes and translating business needs into functional requirements, system capabilities, and solution designs.
- Experience supporting enterprise system enhancements, implementations, and upgrades, including solution validation and testing activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and quickly develop expertise in new business processes and system capabilities.
- Ability to work onsite within a secure customer environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting federal government business operations, including financial management, acquisitions, and logistics.
- Experience with Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) business applications or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience with CGI Momentum, CGI Sunflower, or similar enterprise business systems.
Responsibilities
- Translate operational needs into system capabilities that enhance efficiency, accountability, and mission effectiveness.
- Analyze, design, configure, and enhance enterprise business systems supporting financial, acquisition, and logistics operations.
- Develop and validate solutions through requirements analysis, functional design, system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Design reports, interfaces, and other capabilities that improve automation, streamline business processes, and help users work more effectively.
- Develop knowledge of business processes and system functionality to guide solution decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous improvement.
- Create documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources to enable successful adoption of new capabilities.
