The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for preparing well-documented functional specifications, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects. This role involves research and analysis of complex data to ensure the accuracy of functional designs. The analyst will also serve as a mentor to less experienced staff, assisting with application training, research analysis, and project methodology consultation. Additionally, they will act as a functional lead on complex projects, facilitating project team meetings and documenting minutes. The role requires meeting with business clients to understand application changes related to enterprise-wide initiatives, compliance requirements, contractual agreements, or business as usual (BAU) maintenance. This includes participating in design discussions, documenting functional specifications, and reviewing business requirements with the technology team to ensure a thorough understanding of project needs. The analyst will also coordinate and provide estimates for projects, serve as a subject matter expert on application impacts from enterprise-wide initiatives, and work with vendors and technical teams to understand project functionality and implementation. They may also serve as a Test Coordinator for large projects, participate in data mapping for system integrations and conversions, and manage test cases to verify functionality. Monitoring functional specifications and change requests to ensure scope adherence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business requirements and Corporate Technology standards is crucial. The role involves ensuring efficient resolution of issues, coordinating post-implementation activities, and adhering to the Company's risk and regulatory standards. Promoting diversity and maintaining internal control standards are also key aspects of this position.
