About The Position

TD is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join their Technology Solutions team in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This role involves working with various stakeholders to elicit and document technical requirements, manage requirements for complex initiatives, and act as a liaison between internal teams and vendors. The analyst will translate business needs into Guidewire compatible requirements, gather functional and non-functional requirements, and define Guidewire Configuration & Integration requirements. A strong understanding of API tools, contracts, programming languages (Java, Gosu, SQL), and Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter Cloud is essential. The position requires superior analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and at least 5 years of previous Business System Analyst experience. Experience with personal lines insurance products, pricing, and insurance policy management systems is preferred, as is familiarity with Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various stakeholders to elicit and document technical requirements and take them to end 2 end execution
  • Works independently as the senior or lead business analyst and coaches and guides members within area of expertise
  • Leads the Requirements Management for moderate to high complexity/risk initiatives
  • Possesses discipline, rigor skills and subject matter knowledge to the requirements elaboration and validation process
  • Supports the identification, maintenance and reporting of traceability of requirements
  • Can drive signoffs on requirements, functional design and data mappings
  • Ensure vendor solutions meet contractual, regulatory and business expectations
  • Effectively communicate with Senior business stakeholders, Product owners and leadership
  • Act as primary liaison between internal teams and vendors
  • Translate business needs into Guidewire compatible requirements
  • Gather and document functional and non functional requirements
  • Define Guidewire Configuration & Integration requirements
  • Data mapping experience of API request and response, define schema contracts
  • Work with Business Systems Analysts to communicate and clarify requirements to ensure understanding of all details.
  • Engage and coordinate work effort with Guidewire analysts and other technology teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Effectively manage timelines to deliver changes according to project schedules and regulatory deadlines.
  • Support testing and quality control of all changes, including execution of automated testing and building test cases for manual testing.
  • Thoroughly document business requirements, issues, test plans and test results.
  • Identify risks and recommend appropriate solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Implement recurrent data updates including VICC, premium capping, postal code/GeoData.
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries and conduct investigations into rating issues and questions as required.
