As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. You will assemble, implement and maintain easy, flexible, and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience across Commercial Banking, Corporate and Employee technology. You’ll lead the planning and strategy for the technical design, development and integration of these applications.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of business systems analysis experience with working on technical projects in the financial services industry.
  • Relevant post-secondary degree.
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to elicit and capture business requirements, either through the traditional waterfall model or an agile method (Scrum).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with commercial loan origination, account opening processing, and FIS payment systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, DevSecOps, C#, SQL XML, Power BI or another business intelligence platform.
  • Knowledge of Python or R.
  • Familiarity with an issue management system like ServiceNow or JIRA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in defining specifications, development and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems while providing enhancements to existing technologies.
  • Analyze business process issues and/or problems and provide consulting assistance to system users; conduct research on possible solutions and make recommendations based on findings; develops proposal that outline feasibility and costs; suggest, design, test, implements, and evaluate solutions.
  • Assist in the development of a multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals.
  • Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
  • Act as the development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals.
  • Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving.
