About The Position

Wind River Environmental is seeking a curious, organized, and technology-minded Business Systems Analyst to help translate business needs into technology solutions. The role is part of the IT department and works with business teams throughout the company to understand workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, document requirements, and partner with developers to deliver solutions. It is positioned as an opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, learning how businesses operate, and using technology—including emerging AI tools—to improve how work gets done. The position is primarily remote, with a hybrid arrangement requiring candidates to live within reasonable commuting distance of the Marlborough, Massachusetts office for occasional in-person meetings and collaborative sessions. The estimated base salary is $82,000–$100,000 per year, with eligibility for a 10% bonus. Final compensation depends on factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Relocation assistance may be available to qualified candidates. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. The analyst bridges business and technology by defining problems and requirements, supporting development and testing, and helping employees adopt new or enhanced systems. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Meet with employees and business leaders to understand problems, opportunities, and desired outcomes.
Ask questions and examine workflows to understand users’ needs and goals.
Gather, organize, and document business and system requirements.
Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria for developers.
Analyze user feedback, system activity, and relevant business interactions to identify opportunities for technology-related process and system improvements.
Facilitate meetings and working sessions between business users and technology teams, partnering with business owners and departmental analysts to align on needs and responsibilities.
Coordinate follow-up activities and keep approved technology projects and enhancements moving in line with business and IT priorities.
Assist with user acceptance testing and verify that solutions meet the original business requirements.
Help coordinate communications, training, documentation, and rollout of new technology and system enhancements.
Work with developers throughout the development lifecycle to answer questions and clarify requirements.
Learn the company’s business processes and technology platforms and serve as a resource connecting business and technology.
Explore how AI and other emerging technologies can support business-led process improvements and employee productivity.
