The Business Systems Analyst role is responsible for implementing and improving software applications within CHEO’s Information Systems, providing user support, developing documentation, supporting business process improvements, and engaging in professional development. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Requirements

  • Criminal Record Check (CRC)
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Business or Computer Science program and/or experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Comprehensively use computer technology and equipment
  • Take steps to ensure timely completion of tasks by adjusting priorities as required
  • Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Deal effectively with internal and external customers
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Integration and Security including Workday Pro certifications
  • Bilingualism (French/English)

Responsibilities

  • Manage system integrations within the architecture of the HR/Finance system and middleware.
  • Provide support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations, and new integrations.
  • Provide support for incident management and integration monitoring.
  • Perform routine break/fix support and regression testing, and support inbound/outbound interfaces to the system and middleware.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Analyze and translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
  • Ensure integrations function as designed based on functional and technical requirements.
  • Consult with business and technical teams about interface design and maintenance; collaborate with other technical leads on design decisions.
  • Design and develop interfaces and conduct unit and integration tests.
  • Understand and follow Data Governance and ensure attention to data quality.
  • Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices.
  • Understand and ensure security and data privacy standards.
  • Configure, maintain, and advise on security within the Workday application, including domain security policies, roles, and role assignments.
  • Coordinate with vendors to understand new technology scope and association with new functionality and security.
  • Develop and maintain awareness of divisional and data security and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in report reviews, including understanding and ensuring security and data privacy standards.
  • Stay updated on new security features within the application’s future roadmap and implement where possible.
  • Perform audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy.
  • Demonstrate proof of security controls during internal and external audits.
  • Demonstrate leadership and excellence by actively participating in user groups.
  • Share best practices with colleagues in other hospitals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current hospital policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all CHEO corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
