This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for individual patients/families, practicing according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital, and the patient service unit. The nurse provides appropriate learning experiences for patients and families to promote wellness and achieve an optimal quality of life, and is accountable for maintaining competence and developing professional nursing practice.
Requirements
- Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
- Current Certification of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Essential)
- Current CPR Certification (Essential)
- Operating Room Technique from an approved facility (Essential)
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Demonstrated culturally sensitive approach to nursing care (Essential)
- Demonstrated strong family centered care skills (Essential)
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years paediatric surgery experience (Preferred)
- Bilingual (English/ French) (Preferred)
- Baccalaureate Degree of Nursing (Preferred)
Responsibilities
