About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst / Scrum Master serves as a bridge between 4Front business teams and Enterprise Applications & Data Services. This role partners with business leaders, subject matter experts, technical teams, and vendors to understand business needs, translate those needs into actionable technology work, improve processes, and help delivery teams consistently execute high-value work. This role combines business analysis, Agile facilitation, process improvement, reporting and data analysis, and project coordination. A successful candidate does not need to be an expert in every technology used at 4Front; more important is strong credit union knowledge, an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a demonstrated willingness to continually learn new systems, technologies, and business processes.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of business analysis, banking operations, project coordination, operational improvement, or system implementation experience required
  • Strong understanding of business processes, operational workflows, and system functionality
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement abilities
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and operational priorities effectively
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Reporting, dashboarding, and operational data analysis abilities
  • Ability to coordinate projects and support operational technology initiatives
  • Strong organizational and documentation capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with departments throughout the credit union to understand business needs, challenges, workflows, and technology opportunities.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Translate business needs into clearly defined requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable backlog items.
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, member experience, employee experience, and system utilization.
  • Help stakeholders distinguish between business problems, requested solutions, and underlying needs so the team can focus on the highest-value work.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of how 4Front applications, data, and business processes support the credit union.
  • Facilitate Sprint Planning, backlog refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Daily Scrums as appropriate.
  • Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical team members to maintain a healthy, prioritized, and understandable backlog.
  • Help ensure user stories include clear requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and an agreed definition of done.
  • Identify delivery impediments and coordinate with the appropriate teams or leaders to help move work forward.
  • Track sprint commitments, outcomes, work aging, and other delivery measures that improve transparency and predictability.
  • Promote continuous improvement by helping the team turn retrospective feedback and delivery data into actionable changes.
  • Help stakeholders understand Agile ways of working and provide clear visibility into current and upcoming work.

  • Write and modify SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and validate information from enterprise systems.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and improvement of operational and management reporting.
  • Work with tools such as SQL, Excel, reporting platforms, and business intelligence solutions to analyze and communicate information.
  • Partner with technical resources and business users to validate the accuracy, completeness, and business meaning of reported data.
  • Develop an increasing understanding of 4Front data structures, integrations, and how information moves between systems.
  • Investigate recurring operational or system issues to identify root causes rather than relying solely on temporary fixes.
  • Identify process bottlenecks, manual work, duplicate effort, and opportunities for automation or improved system use.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes when needed to support analysis and change.
  • Recommend sustainable improvements to business processes, system configuration, reporting, and workflows.
  • Use retrospectives, operational metrics, stakeholder feedback, and support trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build productive relationships with business leaders, subject matter experts, IT team members, and third-party vendors.
  • Communicate project and sprint status in a way that is understandable to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Coordinate activities, decisions, and dependencies across departments and external partners.
  • Help manage expectations regarding priorities, timelines, risks, dependencies, and technical constraints.
  • Support organizational change when new systems, processes, or capabilities are introduced.
