About the position
The job overview for the Business Systems Analyst (BSA), Marketing role is to work as a liaison between the IT and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable solutions to support pre-sales initiatives, such as lead flow processes, lead scoring, and campaign management. They should have a strong understanding of the end-to-end customer lifecycle and experience working with tools like Salesforce and Marketo. The candidate should be technically savvy, proactive in communication, and able to anticipate the needs of their partners. They should also have a passion for technology and automation, attention to detail, and the ability to make strong recommendations for process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Work as a liaison between IT and Marketing team partners
- Build solutions that scale and support pre-sales initiatives
- Understand the end-to-end customer lifecycle
- Work with tools like Salesforce and Marketo
- Improve processes and workflows
- Draft requirements to help scale the business
- Enhance the end-users' experience
- Provide recommendations for improvements
- Be proficient in Salesforce Lightning features and functionality
- Develop expertise in Elastic's top of funnel process and workflows
- Advise the Marketing team on business process and technology development
- Craft functional requirements for projects
- Assist with system configuration and user setup
- Participate in a scrum team of developers, admins, and BSAs
- Coordinate feature requests across multiple IT teams and business partners
- Participate in trainings and events offered by Salesforce and other vendors
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement, Sales Strategy, and Marketing Ops
- Prepare presentations and documentation of technical processes
- Proactively communicate with partners on projects and feature requests
- Participate in key IT projects and ad-hoc projects
- Work remotely and independently in a distributed environment
- Adapt to changing priorities of the business

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis, business operations, or business solutions architecture focused on the Salesforce stack, within a SaaS or IaaS company.
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: marketing operations, sales operations, customer success operations, or account management.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, and knowledge of one or more boundary systems, e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick), Marketo, Qualtrics, Drift, ZoomInfo.
- Experience designing and supporting large scale, technically complex solutions between Salesforce and its boundary applications.
- Understanding of Salesforce Lightning standard methodologies (past experience with a Lightning migration and transformation is a plus).
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of Marketing standard methodologies, lead flow, and campaign management.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and design thinking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to explain sophisticated systems and technical topics in a clear, concise manner to non-technical individuals using oral, written, and visual presentations.
