Position Summary: As a Business Systems Analyst, Lab Systems, you will support laboratory-focused technology workstreams within the LIMS ecosystem, contributing to the design, configuration, and optimization of lab system solutions. You will work closely with laboratory operations and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and help implement effective system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 2 or more years of experience in IT business systems analysis required
  • minimum of 1 year of complex project implementation experience in the laboratory/biotech/medical space strongly preferred
  • Experience defining, mapping, and improving end-to-end business workflows through automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Proven experience eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements across technical and functional teams
  • Familiarity with standard SDLC lifecycles and methodologies
  • Experience working with requirements management and DevOps tools such as Jira, Visio, Lucidchart, and similar platforms

Responsibilities

  • Support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of LIMS workflows (e.g., molecular, flow, FISH) within an integrated laboratory systems environment, including ELN, SDMS, and instrument interfaces
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Translate laboratory workflows into clear functional specifications, process documentation, and system requirements
  • Partner with laboratory users and senior analysts to understand business needs and support prioritization of enhancements and defect resolution
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased system efficiency within laboratory workflows
  • Participate in system implementation, upgrade, and testing activities, including defect tracking and resolution support
