About The Position

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the Business Support Analyst will provide application support for core business systems used to manage construction and project operations. This role focuses on stabilizing systems as part of ongoing operations, supporting end users, resolving business process and application issues, and ensuring consistent and effective system usage across the organization. The position is hands-on and operationally focused, acting as the bridge between field users, project teams, IT, and vendors to support day-to-day system use.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments.
  • Experience in application support, business systems support, or operational support roles.
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise or project systems post go-live (exposure to InEight is an asset).
  • Experience supporting job costing, time capture, forecasting, reporting, or change processes.
  • Experience supporting ERP, project controls, payroll, or field execution systems is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with integrated systems and data flows is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools and support SLAs.
  • Strong understanding of construction or project-based operational workflows.
  • Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot workflows, and explain solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day application support for enterprise and project delivery systems.
  • Act as a first point of contact for business users ongoing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to cost management, progress tracking, time capture, forecasting, and change workflows.
  • Distinguish between user, process, data, and system issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Log, track, and manage support tickets and enhancement requests.
  • Prioritize issues based on business impact and operational urgency.
  • Coordinate with IT teams, system vendors, and integration partners for issue resolution.
  • Validate fixes and communicate resolutions back to users.
  • Provide ongoing user support, coaching, and system guidance.
  • Deliver refresher training, office hours, and targeted walkthroughs.
  • Develop and maintain job aids, FAQs, and quick-reference guides.
  • Support onboarding of new projects and new users onto business systems.
  • Reinforce standardized business processes and consistent system usage across the organization.
  • Identify recurring issues, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to approved processes, controls, and governance standards.
  • Support audits, reporting cycles, month-end activities, and data quality checks.
  • Support business-side validation of system integrations and data flows.
  • Assist with investigation of payroll, cost, and data synchronization issues.
  • Support data corrections, reconciliations, and coordination with IT as needed.
  • Capture enhancement requests and improvement ideas from the business.
  • Support minor system changes within approved governance frameworks.
  • Assist with release coordination, regression testing, and communication of system updates.
