About The Position

The Business Tax Services Supervisor position supports the Business Tax Services(BTS) Division by supervision of a unit of Specialists on a regular and consistent basis engaged in providing business tax services related to various business tax types. The Business Tax Services Supervisor will perform supervisory functions including evaluating performance, making recommendations on disciplinary actions, providing for employee development, and approving time off. The Business Tax Services Supervisor will also effectively and professionally represent the Oklahoma Tax Commission’s position during the conduct of formal or informal hearings when taxpayers contest the results of action taken by the division. The Business Tax Services Division provides a diverse set of services to our taxpayers, with a focus on business tax review and registrations related to such tax types as sales, cigarette, tobacco, alcohol and motor fuel taxes. The division also reviews and processes tax credits and refunds related to various business tax types.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration; or related field; PLUS three years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, or similar field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of paraprofessional experience in auditing, accounting, or similar field for each year of the required education.

  • Conduct audits and assessments, making recommendations for improvements in policies, processes, or procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and compliance.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
