About The Position

Huron partners with Baystate Health to jointly manage the entire Revenue Cycle department, driving operational excellence and financial performance while ensuring a patient-first experience. As part of this collaborative model, the Patient Access Supervisor plays a key leadership role in second-shift operations, overseeing front-end revenue cycle functions that directly impact patient satisfaction and organizational success. This position is integral to maintaining seamless workflows across registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and point-of-service collections. You will lead a team that serves as the gateway to care, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in every interaction. Working within Huron’s managed services framework, you’ll collaborate with Baystate Health leadership and Huron experts to implement best practices, optimize processes, and contribute to strategic initiatives that transform healthcare operations. This position is located in Springfield, MA and is an onsite position. The Patient Access Supervisor oversees all functions within the registration department. Provides technical leadership while navigating complex duties. You will lead a team that serves as the gateway to care, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Patient Access experience in a healthcare setting
  • 1-2 years of progressive leadership experience n a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, insurance requirements, and patient access workflows.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with patient access systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises employees in Patient Access services and oversees all day-to-day activities and processes ensuring performance standards are met
  • Strategically aligns staff to support workload while meeting budget requirements.
  • Drive compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and revenue cycle best practices.
  • Monitor metric performance, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Builds strong relationships with partner departments across clinical and revenue cycle spaces.
  • Responsible for driving positive patient and employee experience through engaged leadership and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
