About The Position

Reporting to the Regional Leader, Training Centre Operations (TCO) East, the Business Process Specialist provides oversight and supports TCO operations, mainly in the areas of Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS), Business Continuity Management (BCM) and other business-related processes. The Business Process Specialist will assist the Regional Leader in overseeing and standardizing operations and processes throughout the organization and provide relevant performance management information.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, time management, and business process coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across a broad scope of responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions
  • Demonstrated understanding of QA, EH&S, and BCM processes
  • Must be a Canadian citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Level II NATO Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with CAE simulators or training devices
  • Experience working in a multi-site or matrixed operational environment
  • Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory compliance frameworks related to QA, EH&S, and BCM

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, standardization, update, and implementation of Quality Assurance (QA), Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S), and Business Continuity Management (BCM) processes across all TCO East operations, ensuring alignment with D&S Canada and Global programs
  • Draft, review, and update QA, EH&S, and BCM documentation to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate QA, EH&S, and BCM activities with site teams, D&S Canada, and global stakeholders
  • Support the development, tracking, monitoring, and measurement of targets and objectives related to QA, EH&S, and BCM
  • Collaborate with Site Managers and designated staff on QA, EH&S, and BCM matters
  • Build and maintain working relationships with QA, EH&S, and BCM representatives across D&S Canada
  • Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings to communicate updates on global policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Attend site Management Review Meetings (MRM) to share best practices and support standardization efforts
  • Assist with audits across the TCO East organization
  • Support QA, EH&S, and BCM initiatives led by D&S Canada
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the Regional Leader
  • Analyze data to support risk and hazard identification, as well as risk assessments related to processes, projects, and acquisitions.
  • Participate in incident and accident investigations to identify root causes and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure QA, EH&S, and BCM process documentation remains accurate and up to date
