About The Position

This is a remote, temporary assignment for a Business Analyst specializing in Business Process Improvement, with a contract duration from August 2026 to November 2026. There is potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The analyst will work with business departments to drive process improvement by identifying opportunities and defining/documenting processes and procedures. Responsibilities include assessing training needs, communicating new processes, documenting business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, and project status. The role may involve acting as a liaison between divisions, government entities, vendors, and corporations to define business processes and create/update products and services. The analyst will participate in identifying business process requirements and solutions, gather customer requirements for customized solutions, and provide alternative solutions. They may also provide training and support directly to customers. The role involves problem identification, research, presentation of alternatives, solution testing, consensus building, and implementation. The analyst will generate reports, analyze data, and report trends. This position works on problems of moderate scope, requiring judgment within defined procedures, and may make recommendations for process improvements. Objectives must be achieved, and consensus must be gained from implementation teams. Errors could cause delays in process development or problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Ability to interview and formulate questions.
  • Data management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of general business environment/operation and general cost-benefit awareness.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to define parameters meeting business requirements.
  • Standard MS skill set.
  • 2-5 years of directly related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process improvement through identifying opportunities and defining/documenting processes and procedures.
  • Assess and document training needs.
  • Communicate the existence of new processes.
  • Document business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, and project status.
  • Act as a liaison/strategic partner between divisions, government entities, vendors, and corporations to define business processes and/or generate, update, and create various products and services.
  • Participate in identifying business process requirements and related business/application solutions.
  • Gather customer requirements for customized solutions and provide alternative solutions.
  • Provide training and support directly to customers.
  • Identify/receive problems, research alternatives, prepare presentations, drive solutions, test to confirm, gain consensus, and implement solutions for defined business processes.
  • Generate and create reports; research and analyze data and report trends to management/business partner.
  • Follow department processes and procedures and may make recommendations to these processes.
  • Achieve set objectives.
  • Negotiate, persuade, and gain consensus from implementation team on assigned objective.
