About The Position

When an organization has multiple moving parts in its processes, it can be difficult to critically examine them. To be more efficient and effective, it needs a business process specialist to learn its mission end-to-end and provide ways to change for the better. That’s why we need an experienced business process specialist like you who knows how to analyze every aspect of your customer’s operations and give them the steps to improve their process. As a business process specialist on our team, you’ll analyze your client’s current operating environment and identify areas for improvement. You’ll facilitate discussions with leadership, analysts, and support staff to help refine your client’s definition of success and identify current frustrations. You’ll design data collection plans, facilitate workshops, and communicate your research and illustrative analysis using your keen expertise and knowledge to help establish understanding and agreement from key stakeholders. Using business process design thinking and continuous process improvement, you’ll provide your client with recommendations along with a firm grasp of the quantitative or qualitative results they can expect. Requirements

  • Experience in the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, financial forecasting, and cost estimation
  • Experience with DoD budget execution, cost estimation, and processes, financial forecasting, and cost estimation
  • Experience with defense financial management systems, congressional budget justifications, and funding reconciliation
  • Knowledge of tracking program financials, managing budgets, and aligning funding streams with DoD financial planning processes
  • Bachelor's degree in a Finance or Business Administration field, or 5+ years of experience in financial management in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of strong analytical and reporting skills, to support funding justifications and expenditure tracking, and financial reporting
  • Lean Six, PMP, KM, Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), CPA, or Financial Management DAWIA Level II Certification
