About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Business Process Analyst to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team. This position will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Center (WSC) Quality Control Group (QCG) with facility, operational, technical, and other evaluations. They will assist with reviewing, developing, and overseeing the processing of aircraft accidents/incidents; air traffic evaluations, audits and safety initiatives; Safety Risk Management analysis, documentation, mitigation, panel facilitation; External Compliance Verifications (ECVs); and Mandatory Occurrence Reporting (MOR). Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience OR Masters degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience maybe considered and/or accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in a staff environment preparing written documents, memos, and briefs.
  • Experience with data system building visuals and tools.
  • Must be able to conduct data analysis and establish clear data-to-outcome traceability.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder OR working in the USA with a temporary protected status (TPS) visa who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with No breaks OR leaving the country . One must be able to show documentation of proof once asked by security or the FAA.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise to conduct research, evaluations and studies, and present recommendations/solutions related to short- and long-term planning requirements.
  • Assist with statistical analysis of aircraft accident/incident data and utilize for conducting trend analysis.
  • Classify and summarize data for the preparation and submission of draft reports.
  • Upon notification of an event, Loss, PD, accident, incident, etc., review appropriate forms with the identified facilities and coordinate information through the Regional Operations Center (ROC) with the facilities and the Air Transportation Oversight System (ATO-S).
  • Coordinate significant events with the appropriate Director and/or specifically identified support personnel, and brief Directors as requested.
  • Utilize processes described in applicable FAA Orders to provide support to WSA facilities including facilitating post-accident drug-testing; addressing technical questions involving Comprehensive Electronic Data Analysis and Reporting (CEDAR); addressing Mandatory Occurrence Report (MOR) entries and Significant Events.
  • Assist the FAA Point of Contact (POC) for assigned field facility(s) regarding issues involving Air Traffic Accidents or Incidents and facility events.
  • Coordinate with involved facilities, obtain missing data when necessary, and assist with data collection and analysis requests.
  • Respond to routine inquiries received from Service Units and/or the Air Traffic Office of Safety, and assist with data collection, including the posting of information for stakeholders on the Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN) sites and intranet/internet web pages.
  • Provide backup support in compiling Loss Reports, Aircraft Accidents, Pilot Deviations (PD), Spill-outs and Incidents for implementation into the Quality Control Morning Report.
  • Post reports to the Western Service Area (WSA) website or Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN) sites and distribute copies as necessary.

Benefits

  • The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $90.000 - $105,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment.
