Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in application administration and business analysis/process.
  • Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities.
  • A solid understanding of business process and information management concepts and practices.
  • Exhibit strong change management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities; successfully collaborate with a variety of cross-functional, technical, and non-technical, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong service orientation balanced with attention to data and document best practices and applicable compliance requirements. Able to manage multiple simultaneous projects with differing schedules and expectations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power Apps, SharePoint, Visio.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools to monitor and manage data quality and system performance from multiple data sources and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive outcomes.
  • Proven track record of good attendance and performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using any of the following would be an asset: SAP Plant Maintenance, Bentley ProjectWise Explorer, M365 Power Applications, ENOSERV PowerBase, Azure, corporate ERP Systems, databases, and business applications.
  • Exposure to engineering project and asset management environments and knowledge of engineering terminology would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Research and become familiar with AltaLink’s technical and compliance data and document requirements for Substations, P&C, SCADA, Telecommunications, and Transmission Line assets, and support the document control and asset information daily process activities when needed.
  • Identify opportunities for system-based improvements within the AltaLink asset information and document control processes. Develop recommendations, perform a key role in the implementation and training roll-out of developed enhancements or solutions.
  • Develop business user processes and documentation regarding technical data and document management systems and train involved stakeholders.
  • Develop power user level knowledge on the various software applications and tools used by the Document Control & Asset Information team.
  • Provide asset and project data management support to AltaLink project initiatives and stakeholders ensuring compliance with applicable standards and practices. (E.g., Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS), Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Information Security Management (ISMS)).
  • Generate, resolve, and track queries to address problematic or missing data identified during data review activities and apply proper modification or correction to the database(s). Creatively identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of results.
  • Serve the business by troubleshooting and problem-solving data or system issues, providing administration support, and implementing resolution. Support data integration in the areas of planning, coordination, and meeting customer expectations.
