About The Position

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a Coordinator to help create meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. This is a mission-based, relationship-driven position. You will build new relationships with local businesses, foster existing partnerships, and work with companies to secure contracts and piece-work opportunities for individuals supported through The Arc's Employment Center. We are looking for someone who is comfortable meeting new people, networking in the community, advocating for inclusive employment, and turning business relationships into meaningful opportunities. This is not a commission-based sales position. It is an opportunity to use your business development and relationship-building skills to make a difference. The partnerships you develop can create opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to build skills, earn income, contribute to their community, and experience the pride that comes from meaningful work. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
At least two years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, community outreach, or a related field.
Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
A genuine interest in advocating for employment opportunities and inclusion for adults with developmental disabilities.
Ability to confidently make new connections, develop partnerships, and represent The Arc professionally in the community.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships and opportunities.
Valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five points.

Responsibilities

Develop new relationships with local businesses, vendors, and community partners.
Foster and maintain existing business relationships and identify opportunities to expand partnerships.
Identify, pursue, and secure contracts and piece-work opportunities for The Arc's Employment Center.
Meet with businesses to understand their needs and determine how The Arc can provide quality work and services.
Coordinate contracts, work specifications, pricing, work orders, and communication with business partners.
Represent The Arc and advocate for meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities through networking, presentations, and community outreach.
Work closely with vocational staff to ensure contracted work is completed successfully and meets the expectations of our business partners.
