About The Position

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a sales expert to fill the Business Operations Specialist position. This position performs administrative, sales, and customer service functions while serving as the point of contact for the assigned customers. Supports revenue growth, customer retention, and new account development while managing high-volume orders. Coordinates the order life-cycle, including quotes, order processing, record-keeping, and issue resolution. Partners with internal teams to ensure timely service delivery. Also, supports reporting, identifying customer needs, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and industries, supporting revenue growth, new account development, customer retention, and service coordination
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships and ensures responsiveness and quality throughout the customer life-cycle
  • Manages the customer service and order process from initial contact through completion, including providing product and service information, preparing quotations, processing orders and payments, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer issues
  • Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction in all transactions
  • Coordinates workflow and transportation with production shops located within correctional facilities and works closely with marketing, accounting, logistics, and production staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Acts as a liaison to resolve issues and support efficient project execution
  • Conducts research and planning related to customer needs and growth opportunities and provides verbal and written reports to management
  • May participate in trade shows and industry-related events to support relationship building and business development
  • Interprets and applies applicable laws, rules, policies, and procedures
  • Enforces sanitation and security practices in accordance with ADCRR policies and procedures
  • Will occasionally supervise inmate workers assigned to the customer service area, including reviewing work products, correcting discrepancies, providing training, and maintaining confidentiality
  • Attends staff training
  • Drives on State business
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
