About The Position

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time Operations Administrator at the Principal Professional or Program Manager Level. This role will report to the Division Administrator (DA) and work closely with the DA, Division Head, and other divisional leadership as needed for the operations needs of the Division. The Division has over 150 faculty across four sites and a long history of seminal discoveries in pulmonary and critical care medicine. The division continues to grow and enhance its programs, with new facilities and faculty recruitment.

Requirements

  • Principal Professional Level: Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Principal Professional Level: Three (3) years of professional experience in business operations.
  • Program Manager: Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Program Manager: Four (4) years of professional experience in business operations.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with high level administration.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of administrative experience in healthcare or university setting.
  • Experience creating, obtaining approval and monitoring budgets.
  • Experience managing operations for a university division.
  • Experience providing administrative and technical assistance to faculty and staff within a higher education and/or medical education environment.
  • Experience with university systems (e.g. Concur, Archibus, Webspace, HCM).
