Business Operations and Special Projects

Mind RoboticsPalo Alto, CA

About The Position

Mind Robotics is building the full-stack platform for AI-enabled industrial robotics, including foundation models, purpose-built hardware, and deployment infrastructure to automate manufacturing work. Founded in 2025 with significant funding and a strategic partnership with Rivian, the company is focused on scaling its operations rapidly. The BizOps role at Mind Robotics is a critical function responsible for solving cross-functional problems and ensuring operational infrastructure keeps pace with growth. The role involves working directly with the Head of Strategy & BizOps on high-priority projects, which can range from financial modeling and vendor decisions to establishing new functions and conducting market analysis. The position requires a proactive individual who can move fluidly between high-level strategy and detailed execution with minimal direction and a high bar for output. This role is ideal for someone with experience in high-caliber organizations who is ready to apply their skills in a dynamic, high-stakes environment where a playbook is still being written.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a high-intensity BizOps or strategy role at a tech or hardware company.
  • Strong analytical toolkit: ability to build models, structure ambiguous problems, and translate outputs into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written communication: ability to write clearly, concisely, and without jargon, conveying complex topics in simple, persuasive terms.
  • Comfort operating with incomplete information and knowing when to move versus when to ask.
  • Genuine intellectual curiosity about how businesses and systems work, with a specific interest in physical AI, robotics, or hardware-software systems.
  • Ability to be productive without needing structure and without creating bureaucracy.
  • Willingness to go from high-level strategy to detailed execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Recent MBA graduates or candidates graduating summer 2026 are welcome.
  • Candidates who went straight into the work are equally considered.

Responsibilities

  • Standing up new functions and operational areas: identifying business needs and building structure, process, and tooling from scratch.
  • Financial modeling and analysis: including scenario planning, headcount modeling, unit economics, and providing quantitative foundations for major decisions.
  • Cross-functional problem-solving: addressing high-priority work that spans hardware, software, and data teams, requiring a high-level perspective to drive resolution.
  • Strategic research and analysis: conducting market landscape analysis, competitive benchmarking, and synthesizing data into clear recommendations for expansion.
  • Operational buildout: managing vendor selection, policy frameworks, and systems decisions that do not fit neatly into any single team's scope.
