About The Position

BTIG is seeking a Business Analyst with strong SQL skills to join its Business Operations and Analytics Team. The role supports firmwide operations by gathering and defining business requirements, analyzing complex datasets, and delivering clear, actionable reporting. The successful candidate will be technically fluent in data environments and understand how information is sourced, transformed, maintained, and delivered to support business outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Advanced SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
• Proven ability to work with and manage large datasets.
• Experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI and SSRS.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to diagnose complex problems, develop practical solutions, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL to analyze large, complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as PowerBI and SSRS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Follow existing processes and create new processes to enhance firm efficiency.
• Support the firm through data management and analysis.
• Adapt to evolving tools and technologies and build proficiency in new platforms as business needs arise.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with other departments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for reports, data flows, and business logic.
