About The Position

Overwatch is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support and scale U.S. operations across the mission-critical construction lifecycle. This role will support operational efficiency through data analysis, process mapping, workflow improvement, systems support, and cross-functional execution. The Business Operations Analyst will partner closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Legal, Recruiting, and Operations to improve visibility, reduce manual work, strengthen process controls, and help build scalable operating infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who is not only analytical, but builder-minded — someone comfortable documenting workflows, identifying gaps, improving handoffs, supporting low-code automation, and turning operational problems into practical, repeatable solutions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically curious, process-oriented, and comfortable working across tools such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel, Power Automate, Smartsheet, Salesforce, GEM, and related business systems.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in Business Operations, Process Improvement, Data Analysis, Project Coordination, Systems Support, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify operational implications.
  • Experience documenting workflows, process maps, SOPs, requirements, or cross-functional procedures.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, Teams, Smartsheet, Salesforce, GEM, or similar business systems.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, workflow automation, system implementation, UAT, reporting, or operational controls.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments with shifting priorities.
  • Experience in construction, data centers, staffing, recruiting operations, or mission-critical infrastructure is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Power Automate flow support, troubleshooting, or basic build experience.
  • SharePoint list configuration, field management, views, and permissions awareness.
  • Microsoft Forms, Teams approvals, notifications, and workflow routing.
  • Process mapping tools such as Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, or similar.
  • Dashboarding or reporting experience in Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI, Salesforce, or similar tools.
  • Experience translating business requirements into workflow logic, system fields, and test scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers, KPIs, and reporting to monitor business performance.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, bottlenecks, rework, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare leadership-ready reports, summaries, and presentations.
  • Translate operational data into clear insights, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Support recurring operating reviews by improving visibility into workflow status, ownership, and performance.
  • Document current-state workflows across business functions, including inputs, outputs, owners, handoffs, systems, and decision points.
  • Build future-state process maps that improve clarity, consistency, scalability, and control.
  • Identify process breakdowns, duplicate work, manual effort, unclear ownership, and avoidable rework.
  • Assist in standardizing SOPs, intake processes, approval paths, status definitions, and operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using practical lean, root-cause, and process improvement methods.
  • Support the design, testing, and maintenance of operational workflows using tools such as Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, Teams, Excel, Smartsheet, Salesforce, and GEM.
  • Help translate business requirements into system logic, field requirements, workflow rules, trackers, and automation steps.
  • Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and documenting Power Automate flows and related process automations.
  • Support UAT, gap analysis, issue tracking, and process validation for new or updated systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data quality, workflow visibility, and system adoption.
  • Support onboarding processes for new client accounts, ensuring milestones, dependencies, documents, and deliverables are tracked and completed.
  • Coordinate documentation and handoffs across Sales, Finance, Legal, HR, Recruiting, and Operations.
  • Monitor onboarding timelines and proactively identify risks, blockers, or delays.
  • Support ongoing account operations to ensure accuracy, continuity, and process discipline.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of operational initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication across departments by clarifying owners, next steps, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Support vendor coordination, procurement tracking, compliance activities, and operational follow-through as needed.
  • Help create structure in ambiguous situations by organizing information, defining process steps, and improving visibility.
