Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business or management, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of directly applicable experience in business operations and/or data analytics.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid foundational financial literacy, including the ability to understand budgets, cost drivers, and basic financial reports, and to incorporate financial considerations into operation planning and workflow recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated experience with using data visualization tools to create compelling visualizations.
  • Broad knowledge of business operations best practices and standards.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and fluid demands.
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Sound decision-making: the ability to identify the root cause of issues and resolve them in a timely way, and to take critical feedback in stride.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data lineage tools and methods.
  • A working understanding of the data analysis life cycle and its application in a business setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data mapping across assigned data sources and reporting layers.
  • Document business definitions, transformation logic, and data lineage, and coordinate with data owners and stewards to resolve conflicts in definitions.
  • Identify workflow issues and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Implement data quality rules, track exceptions, and monitor remediation activities to support the quality of data products.
  • Maintain metadata and glossary entries in the data catalog.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for change control and the data-mapping lifecycle, and produce status reports and governance scorecards.
  • Assist with the creation of training materials and provide training to individuals on those materials.
  • Track and audit purchase order expenditures to identify variances and support operational planning.
  • Review and audit financial data as needed to ensure accuracy, inform workflow recommendations, and maintain alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Advise on relationship management between the office and other divisions, and support other projects as needed.
