About The Position

American Management Services, Inc., a leading provider of implementation-based profit improvement services since 1986, is seeking experienced CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Controllers, or Senior Executives to join our National Consulting Firm. As an Executive Business Consultant, you will act as an interim CEO for our clients, taking complete control of their businesses to implement necessary changes for improving sales, profits, cash flow, and ease of operation. Our unique system of Pre-Determined ProfitsTM is offered exclusively to small and mid-sized privately owned businesses with annual revenues ranging from $3 million to $500 million. You will lead, train, and instruct clients (who are also business owners), ensuring all recommendations are fully implemented and produce tangible results. Consultants often face distressed client situations such as insolvency, complacency, diminishing sales, lack of accountability, and poor communication. You will be responsible for addressing these challenges head-on, managing relationships with vendors, customers, and bankers, and confronting internal issues with honest and open dialogue.

Requirements

  • Strong Financial, Operational, and Interpersonal skills.
  • 20+ years of solid business experience as a business owner, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Controller, or Senior Executive of a small to mid-size business.
  • Prior experience in crisis management and turnarounds.
  • Proven track record of financial controls.
  • MBA, CPA, or other relevant credentials.
  • Must be ready to act as our client’s interim CEO and take complete control of clients and their business.
  • Position requires 100% travel - 47 weeks out of the year. Leave Sunday, return Thursday or Friday.

Responsibilities
