About The Position

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst partners with business users to understand objectives, measures, and success criteria, and translates requirements into analytical briefs for BI Developers and Analytics Engineers. The role collaborates across teams to ensure data models and structures support reporting needs, and helps refine requests to focus on valuable, relevant insights. The analyst designs intuitive dashboards and visualizations, applying data storytelling, user experience, accessibility, and consistent BI design standards. The role prototypes and iterates on designs with business users, conducts ad-hoc analysis, and turns findings into actionable insights, narratives, and recommendations to support business reviews and decisions. The position also supports BI adoption and enablement by maintaining the Business Insights Catalogue, promoting data literacy, providing demonstrations and user support, and gathering feedback to improve dashboards. Employees must follow site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards. Depending on location, the position may also be responsible for maintaining applicable quality and environmental management system standards. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related reporting role.
Strong proficiency in Power BI, particularly in visual design, data exploration, and interactivity.
Experience engaging with stakeholders to define and deliver reporting and insight solutions.
Excellent communication, visual design, and presentation skills.
Ability to turn data into actionable insight through storytelling.
Experience promoting BI adoption and user engagement.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of business processes such as operations and supply chain.
Experience defining KPIs and designing reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Familiarity with data concepts such as relationships, hierarchies, and data quality.
Working knowledge of DAX and data modelling to collaborate effectively with developers.
Interest in emerging technologies such as AI-assisted analytics and natural-language querying.

Promote data literacy and effective BI use across business teams.
Deliver demonstrations, user support, and best-practice guidance for BI dashboards.
Gather user feedback to guide iterative improvements and enhance adoption.
