About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Strategy and Analytics team by conducting detailed analysis and creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide critical information for informed business decisions. The role uses multiple tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights in data from various sources. The analyst ensures data quality and integrity, collaborates with stakeholders across the business to understand information requirements, and maintains data integrity and performs audits in the data platform. The analyst uses business intelligence and reporting software, database tools, Microsoft Excel, and Office automation to design, build, assess, maintain, improve, and distribute dashboards and reports; combine data; and present accurate information. The position supports reporting and analysis across business functions, including technology, operations, field, and billing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Data Analytics, Math, Statistics, or another analytical/data-driven discipline.
0–2 years of experience working in business intelligence; co-op and internships count.
High proficiency in data modelling and analysis using Excel, Power BI, Python, and SQL.
Strong SQL experience, knowledge of relational databases, and ability to build and maintain views.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Data-driven analytical skills and knowledge or experience related to financial analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands and deadlines.
Ability to conduct basic statistical and correlation analysis to identify patterns and trends.
Excellent skills in Excel, R/Python, and SQL.

Nice To Haves

Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP; Power BI is preferred.
Creativity, relationship-building skills, and dedication.

Responsibilities

Distill complex data and relationships into clear, concise charts and visualizations, and support ad hoc data requests and analysis.
Design data models to extract data from operational databases and transform it into easily understood business views.
Gather and process raw data at scale, including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, and writing SQL queries.
Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis and conduct the analysis.
Automate manual processes.
Navigate CRM and other systems to build reporting and ensure consistency and compliance across departments.
Develop management monthly KPIs and reports and BI dashboards for stakeholders across business functions, including technology, operations, field, and billing.
Conduct in-depth analysis to identify key business risks and opportunities and recommend ways to improve overall profitability.
Work with data from various sources, ensure data quality and integrity, collaborate with stakeholders to understand information requirements, and maintain data integrity and perform audits in the data platform.
Use business intelligence and reporting software, database tools, Excel, and Office automation to design, build, assess, maintain, improve, and distribute dashboards and reports.
