About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Analytics team in Renton, Washington on First Shift. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) information models, dashboards, metrics, and reports that align with business objectives. The analyst will develop efficient, scalable BI solutions using standard technologies, methodologies, and best practices, including writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. They will also combine programming languages like Python, R, or relevant scripting languages with BI tools to automate data pipelines and reporting processes. The position requires acquiring, cleaning, transforming, and validating data from multiple source systems to ensure accuracy and reliability. The analyst will apply descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics techniques to extract insights and recommend actions, creating clear, actionable visualizations and reports to support business decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, finance, operations, etc.) is essential for gathering requirements and delivering data solutions. Responsibilities include managing intake requests, prioritizing work, and scoping analytics projects with stakeholders, as well as performing root cause analysis on data and metric discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. Ensuring data governance, documentation, and reproducibility of analytics models and data pipelines is also key. The role involves presenting findings, recommendations, and technical approaches to senior leadership and stakeholders with strong communication skills, and mentoring junior analysts, reviewing peer work, and promoting analytics best practices across the organization. Finally, the analyst will monitor the performance of analytics solutions and iterate to improve accuracy, efficiency, and business impact.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in SQL Server development
5+ years of experience in Tableau or similar backend tools
Experience in managing technical projects through agile processes

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Hands-on experience with Power BI and/or IBM Cognos
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business strategy and operational needs into measurable analytics requirements
