About The Position

RedSky is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support the Department of Defense and United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The position is listed under the Enterprise Knowledge Management functional labor category and is based in Tampa, Florida, with multiple domestic and international locations indicated. The role requires an active Secret clearance. The analyst designs, develops, deploys, and maintains data visualization, reporting, and analytics solutions that turn raw data into actionable intelligence for USSOCOM leaders, staff, and knowledge management professionals. The role connects operational data with decision-makers by building Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets that provide real-time, role-based insight across USSOCOM Headquarters, its Components, and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs). The analyst helps ensure that senior leaders, program managers, KM officers, and operational staff have access to curated, accurate, visually compelling information without manual data compilation.

Requirements

Active Secret security clearance.
At least 4 years of business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting experience in a Department of Defense or federal government environment.
At least 4 years of proficiency with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including report and dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, workspace management, and scheduled refresh configuration.
At least 4 years of experience designing star-schema and dimensional data models for analytical reporting, including understanding fact and dimension tables, relationships, cardinality, and filter context.
At least 3 years of proficiency in DAX, including measures, calculated columns, time intelligence functions, iterator functions, and context-transition expressions.
At least 3 years of proficiency in Power Query, including data extraction, transformation, merging, appending, pivoting and unpivoting, and parameterized queries.
At least 3 years of experience connecting Power BI to multiple data source types, including SQL Server, SharePoint Online, Dataverse, Excel, REST APIs, and OData feeds.
At least 3 years of demonstrated ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders, translate operational questions into data models and visualizations, and present findings to senior leaders.
At least 3 years of experience demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain data concepts, metrics, and dashboard insights to audiences ranging from analysts to general officers.
CompTIA Security+ certification.

Responsibilities
