About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst uses business and technical knowledge to design, develop, and implement reports and analytics solutions in Power BI. The role works with business and technical teams to understand business strategy and objectives, gather information, and ensure business needs are met throughout the analytics lifecycle. It provides business unit leadership across the Bank with content, insights, and analysis to support better decision-making, while partnering with internal stakeholders to execute strategic objectives. The position works at the worksite during regular business hours and/or assigned hours. The work environment is a standard office or retail banking setting. The role is sedentary for most of the workday, with some movement around the workspace and occasional lifting or exertion of up to 10 pounds.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience developing automated reports and dashboards in Power BI.
Demonstrated skill with DAX and M for gathering, transforming, and visualizing data.
Basic SQL, Python, and/or R skills for gathering data and automating processes and analytics.
Working knowledge of BI/data warehouse tools and functionality.
Experience with Power BI Paginated Reports.
Experience with the complete analytics implementation lifecycle, including gathering and transforming data, building reports and dashboards, troubleshooting, data validation, and ensuring solutions meet business needs.
Experience with the Snowflake platform.
Knowledge of Power BI data querying and modeling, including relationships, calculated columns, and measures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
Ability to organize work and prioritize and manage competing projects.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Passion for analysis and design, and ability to synthesize datasets into visualizations that clearly illuminate key insights for end users.

Responsibilities

Develop Power BI dashboards for Business Unit Leaders that provide timely and accurate data, performance indicators, and insights.
Build relationships and collaborate with Business Unit Leaders and internal clients to understand, gather, clean, and transform datasets for reporting and analytical objectives.
Communicate and interact with business and technical personnel to solve complex data problems.
Use Power BI, DAX, M, and SQL to expand and optimize the Bank’s enterprise reporting and analytics portfolio.
Research, present, and implement new Power BI product features to improve the Bank’s capabilities and processes.
Perform quantitative and qualitative ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, including analyzing trends and synthesizing multiple datasets to uncover insights.
Build and maintain clear and relevant data and reporting documentation as needed.
Handle complex issues independently with minimal supervision, escalating and communicating significant issues appropriately.
Serve as a Power BI application subject matter expert and provide assistance, troubleshooting, and support to enterprise users.

Complete monthly training in a timely manner to maintain knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
