Marsh Agency (MMA) is seeking a Business Insurance Senior Account Associate to join their team. This role is based in Opelika, AL, and requires the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week. Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years prior experience
  • Property Casualty Resident’s License Required
  • Annual CE Requirement

Responsibilities

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Agency Management System (AMS)
  • Actively involved with Client Team on client deliverables & meeting client expectations
  • Supports account team members on any/all functions as needed
  • Assists other Senior Account Associates during high volume times
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of available tools (Reference Connect, Playbook, MMA U)
  • Provides New Business and Renewal Support including compiling Broker of Record Letters, updating Renewal Flow Checklist, preparing Loss Summary, transmitting Renewal Request to Client, gathering Renewal Information and updating AMS, running ModMaster Reports, following up on Submissions with Markets, and generating or coordinating proposal support.
  • Provides General Service Support including AMS Data Entry, new mail support, downloading carrier documents, creating/updating Certificate and Evidence of Property Templates, following up with carriers for policies and endorsements, performing second review of policy, ordering endorsements, creating/updating Schedules of Insurance, creating Loss Policy Releases, addressing cancellations/reinstatements, reviewing audits, and addressing discrepancies.
  • Performs Accounting Tasks including Premium Allocations, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable Monitoring, Check Requests, AR Adjustments, Cash on Account, Finance Agreements, and addressing Accounting Discrepancies.
  • Supports a book of business at the direction and under guidance of the Unit Leader / Unit Manager / Client Team.
  • Understands the importance of strong carrier relationships, though no direct carrier interaction is involved.
