About The Position

Concorde Education is expanding its network of instructors for business and financial literacy enrichment programs serving elementary, middle, and high school students at partner schools and community-based locations. These are part-time independent-contractor instructional assignments. Programs and assignments vary according to partner needs, instructor qualifications, subject expertise, location, and availability. Assignments typically run approximately 8–10 weeks and involve 1–4 instructional hours per week. Opportunities and start dates occur on a rolling basis throughout the school year; an application or onboarding does not guarantee an assignment, minimum hours, future work, or continued engagement. Compensation varies by assignment and location, with the posting listing $50–$100 per hour and most assignments typically falling between $50–$65 per instructional hour. The applicable rate and assignment details are provided before an instructor accepts an assignment. Depending on the assignment, subject matter may include personal budgeting, saving, banking, credit and borrowing, interest, investing, entrepreneurship, business planning, revenue and expenses, marketing, customer service, leadership, career exploration, and real-world financial decision-making. Specific curriculum, topics, grade levels, and program objectives vary. Instructors deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction; explain concepts through practical examples; lead activities and projects; support students’ development of business and financial skills; prepare using provided or approved curriculum or appropriate instructor-developed activities; and adapt instruction to students’ needs. They also maintain a positive, inclusive, appropriately supervised learning environment, follow school and program procedures, communicate professionally with designated personnel, and arrive prepared and on time. Applicants generally bring relevant subject-matter knowledge, experience working with young people, and strong professional skills. Traditional classroom teaching experience is not required for every program. Relevant backgrounds may include business, finance, entrepreneurship, banking, accounting, education, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth programs, and related professional settings. Assignments may be contingent on program availability, qualifications, scheduling compatibility, school-partner requirements or approval, and completion of legally required screening or clearance processes.
