Business & Financial Literacy Instructor – K–12 Enrichment

Concorde Education•Queens, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

Concorde Education partners with schools and community organizations to provide enrichment programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. The company is expanding its network of instructors with experience in business, entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, economics, banking, investing, financial literacy, marketing, or related fields. Traditional classroom teaching experience is not required for every program; relevant experience may come from professional, educational, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth-program settings. These are part-time, independent contractor instructional assignments offered as partner needs arise throughout the school year. Programs are typically approximately 8–10 weeks, with instructors generally delivering 1–4 instructional hours per week. Assignments take place in person at partner schools and community-based locations. Start dates, curriculum, topics, grade levels, objectives, schedules, and program duration vary by assignment. Compensation is usually $50–$65 per instructional hour, but rates vary; details for a specific opportunity and geographic location are provided in the posting or assignment details before acceptance. Depending on the assignment, programs may cover personal budgeting, saving, banking, credit and debt, interest, investing, entrepreneurship, business planning, revenue and expenses, pricing, marketing, customer service, leadership, career exploration, and real-world financial decision-making. Instructors deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction using practical examples, interactive activities, discussions, simulations, projects, and problem-solving exercises. They may use provided curriculum or approved lesson plans, or develop appropriate activities, and adapt instruction to students’ ages, abilities, learning styles, and prior knowledge. Instructors are expected to create a positive, respectful, inclusive, appropriately supervised learning environment; maintain appropriate classroom management and student supervision; follow school policies, site procedures, and program expectations; and communicate professionally with designated school personnel and Concorde Education representatives about attendance, scheduling, and program needs. Applicants should understand that applying or completing screening and onboarding does not guarantee an assignment, minimum hours, future work, or continued engagement. Offers may depend on program availability, qualifications, schedule compatibility, school-partner requirements or approval, and completion of any legally required screening or clearance process.
