About The Position

MGO is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join our Marketing & Growth team. In this role, you will serve as the primary, day-to-day owner of inbound and targeted/warm lead intake validation, and routing in support of the firm's growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Associates or bachelors degree in related discipline
  • 2 - 3 years of sales experience, ideally in the accounting industry
  • Proficiency with digital lead generation and management tools
  • A sales or business mindset
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HubSpot and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary, day-to-day owner of inbound inquiry monitoring and initial qualification
  • Respond to and engage inbound inquiries that are often cold at first touch via phone, email, and digital outreach
  • Validate inbound inquiries against segment alignment, service relevance, and opportunity fit using established criteria
  • Support execution of signal-based and targeted outreach initiatives by managing intake templates, conducting research, validating opportunity context, diligence for pre-reads, and initiating first touch engagement aligned to different market triggers
  • Prepare concise briefing notes for partners ahead of signal curation calls, introductory meetings, including background, signal context, and potential service alignment
  • Manage continuous lead intake and follow-up activities across both inbound and targeted channels as a full-time responsibility.
  • Conduct consistent prospect outreach to support timely lead qualification and routing
  • Participate in pipeline, cadence, signal and lead review meetings as requested
