As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities for the company. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with potential clients through outbound calls, build relationships, and gather essential information to generate quality leads for the end-user/aftermarket sales teams for both D8 and D28 branches. The role requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the company's products or services to include commercial doors, frames and hardware, systems and security integration, specialty construction products (D10), pre-hung doors, and ongoing services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in outbound calling or telemarketing, preferably in a lead generation or sales support role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate objections and effectively communicate the value proposition of products or services.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead management processes.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive outbound calls to targeted end-user prospects using provided scripts or talking points.
  • Engage potential clients in meaningful conversations to assess their needs and qualify them as potential leads.
  • Gather and document relevant information about potential leads, including contact details, business needs, and key decision-makers.
  • Evaluate the prospect's level of interest, budget, and timeline to determine lead qualification.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's products or services to effectively communicate their value propositions to potential clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and lead qualification details in the company's CRM system.
  • Regularly update and cleanse the lead database to ensure data integrity.
  • Work closely with the sales team to transfer qualified leads and provide detailed insights into prospect requirements.
  • Collaborate on strategies to enhance lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call quotas, lead qualification targets, and conversion rates.
  • Provide regular reports on call activities, lead quality, and outcomes.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with clients from existing cooperative contracts.
  • Monitor contract terms, renewal dates, and any modifications required to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with the account management or customer success team to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Proactively communicate with clients to gather feedback, assess ongoing needs, and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
  • Work closely with the contracts and legal team to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Provide regular updates to the sales and management teams on the status of existing cooperative contracts, including any risks or opportunities for growth.
  • Implement strategies to enhance contract retention rates and maximize the value derived from existing cooperative agreements.
  • Develop and implement internal marketing strategies to promote awareness of existing cooperative contracts within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create internal communication materials, including newsletters, presentations, and training materials, to highlight key features and benefits of cooperative contracts.
  • Conduct training sessions for sales teams and branches to ensure a comprehensive understanding of cooperative contract offerings.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales teams and the contracts department, providing guidance on positioning cooperative contracts in client interactions.
  • Regularly communicate updates and successes related to cooperative contracts to inspire a sense of pride and motivation among internal teams.
  • Facilitate regular meetings or workshops to share best practices and success stories related to cooperative contract utilization.
  • Work closely with sales managers to align cooperative contract goals with individual and team sales targets.
  • Other relative duties as assigned
