About The Position

Blossman Gas is seeking a motivated Business Development Sales Specialist for its showroom location in the Travelers Rest, SC area, north of Greenville. This role combines inside sales from a showroom environment with outside sales potential, focusing on prospecting contractors, homebuilders, and commercial clients for gas appliances, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, and propane services. With over 75 years in business, Blossman Gas is a large, independent propane company with a growing presence in the southern and mid-Atlantic states, offering stability, professional growth, and competitive compensation.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Pass pre-employment checks including background and drug screening.
Professional, friendly, organized, and conditioned for relationship (trust) selling.
Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
Organized.
Solid communication skills.
Positive attitude, openness to progress, utilization of technology, and growth-oriented expectations.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or other related field.
2-5 years of prior success with inside sales.
Some experience with outside sales.

Responsibilities

Communicate company offerings and services enthusiastically from the showroom and by telephone.
Work with builders and homeowners for new construction and renovation needs relating to gas fireplace systems, outdoor kitchens, gas appliances, grills, and more, maintaining a good closing rate.
Conduct on-site, Outside Sales-related duties when approaching new opportunities for residential propane in the greater Greenville, SC area.
Remain up-to-date on preferred brands, financing, preventative maintenance, and promotional offerings.
Prospect commercial gas opportunities including restaurants, forklift warehouses, manufacturing, laundromats, and more.
Maintain showroom cleanliness and standards.
Conduct regular computer work to support daily workflow and customer-care efforts, including regular follow-up with customers by telephone, email, and text.
Occasionally help customers load new equipment.
