We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to support pipeline generation and outbound prospecting across multiple verticals including government pension plans, unions, TPAs, corporate accounts, insurance carriers, and financial institutions. This role is responsible for building qualified opportunities for the Account Executive team through conference follow-up, strategic outreach, territory research, and outbound prospecting. The ideal candidate is disciplined, highly organized, persistent, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This is a strong growth opportunity for someone looking to develop into an Account Executive role over time.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of sales, business development, client-facing, or related professional experience
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • High level of discipline, persistence, and follow-up ownership
  • Comfortable with outbound calling, prospecting, and relationship building
  • Strong organizational and research skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in B2B sales, SaaS, financial services, pensions, insurance, or government markets
  • Experience with conference-based lead generation and outbound prospecting
  • Desire to grow into a full-cycle closing sales role

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on conference attendee lists through email, phone calls, and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified meetings
  • Conduct outbound prospecting across assigned territories and verticals
  • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers within pension plans, unions, TPAs, corporate accounts, and financial institutions
  • Build and maintain strategic prospect lists for Account Executives
  • Schedule discovery meetings and introductory calls for the sales team
  • Support pipeline development through consistent outbound activity and follow-up discipline
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prospect activity within Salesforce
  • Assist with territory planning and account prioritization
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and leadership on outreach strategy
  • Support post-conference campaigns and marketing-driven lead follow-up
  • Help identify potential upsell and expansion opportunities within target accounts
