About The Position

Hello Patient is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help accelerate our growth by creating and qualifying sales opportunities with healthcare organizations across the country. As one of the first touch points for prospective customers, you'll play a critical role in shaping the buyer experience and building pipeline for our sales team. You'll combine research, outreach, discovery, and relationship-building to engage clinic leaders, uncover business needs, and connect qualified prospects with our Account Executives. This is a highly visible role with significant opportunity for growth as we continue to scale. We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, highly motivated, and excited to learn how to sell in a fast-paced health-tech startup environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a BDR, SDR, or quota-carrying sales role in Healthcare or SaaS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Based in Austin, TX or New York, NY, or willing to relocate.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging prospects through cold outreach.
  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with healthcare professionals and business leaders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining activity goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into healthcare providers, medical practices, or healthcare organizations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Clay, HubSpot, or Salesforce.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology company.
  • Strong prospect research and account-mapping skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare technology and AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage outbound prospecting campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Identify and engage healthcare decision-makers at clinics, specialty groups, and healthcare networks.
  • Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for the Account Executive team.
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, events, referrals, and website inquiries.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect workflows, challenges, and business goals.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs by documenting key insights and next steps within the CRM.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM systems.
  • Partner with sales leadership to test messaging, improve outreach strategies, and refine qualification processes.
  • Share market feedback, competitive insights, and prospect objections to strengthen our go-to-market motion.
