About The Position

Blue J is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their growing team. As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in driving growth by identifying and engaging high-quality prospects, building pipeline, and partnering closely with the Sales team to create new opportunities. This is an opportunity for someone early in their sales career to enter a large market and make a significant impact. You will collaborate with sales leadership to develop territory strategies and generate qualified opportunities through cold outreach, with the primary focus on booking meetings for Account Executives. The company offers hands-on training, in-depth sales experience, and professional development. This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be on-site in Toronto at least 3 days per week, with occasional travel for conferences. All candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Requirements

  • Relatively early in their sales career.

  • Live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Toronto office.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting cold calls and emails to decision-makers at top accounting firms across North America.
  • Following up with conference and webinar registrants.
  • Attending trade shows and conventions as needed - virtually or in person.
  • Effectively qualifying opportunities.
  • Managing and maintaining your sales pipeline - moving prospects from lead to discovery to demo.
  • Consistently capturing activity in our CRM (Salesforce) and other engagement tools.
  • Maintaining LinkedIn presence, promoting marketing material and connecting with industry members.
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly KPI goals which will include meetings and demonstrations scheduled, and new pipeline created.
